Questions on Subtraction of Decimal Fractions
Problem 1:
The sum of two decimal numbers is 84.6 and one number is 3.2 find the other number?
Solution:
Given,
The sum value of the decimal numbers is 84.6
One number value is 3.2
Now, we will find the other number value. Using the subtraction method, we will get the value.
So, the other number value is,
84.6 – 3.2 = 81.4
Therefore, the other number is 81.4
Problem 2:
A tank contains 64.34 litres of water. If john uses 45.12 litres of water to wash his car, then how much water is left in the tank?
Solution:
Given the data,
The total capacity of the tank = 64.34 litres
The amount of water used by john to wash the car = 45.12 litres
We have to find the amount of water left in the tank using the subtraction rule.
Thus, the left water in the tank is,
64.34 – 45.12 = 19.22 litres
So, the amount of water left in the tank is 19.22 litres.

Subtract the decimal 25.21 from 52.32 and Write the final decimal value?
Solution:
The given decimal values are 52.32, and 25.21.
Using the subtraction method, we have to find the final decimal value.
Subtraction means removing or minus one value from another value, we get some final value that is the resultant value.
Now, perform the subtraction operation we will get the value,
52.32 – 25.21 = 27.11
The final decimal value of given values is 27.11

Find the decimal value of 342.25 – 321.12?
Solution:
In the given values, in between the decimal values minus sign will be present.
Now, we have to find the value using the subtraction law.

Subtract normally similar to ordinary numbers, remember to place the decimal point within the answer.
Hence, By subtracting 657.2 from 789.17 we get 131.97 as the difference.

Subtract 0.98 from 4.9 and write the difference value?

First, write the larger number 4.9 on the top and the smaller number 0.98 on the below with the decimals lined up.
Next, add a zero to the number 4.9 so that the numbers have the same length.

Find the value of 116.34 – 100.22?
Solution:
As given in the question, the values are 116.34 and 100.22
