P = 20cm + 12cm

A Rectangle has a length of 19 m and a width of 14 m. Find the perimeter of a rectangle.
Solution:
Given,
Length of the rectangle = 19m
Width of the rectangle= 14m
The perimeter of the rectangle = ?
We know that,

P = length + length + width + width
P = 19m + 19m + 14m + 14m
P = 2(19m) + 2(14m)
P = 38m + 28m
P = 66m

l = 55 cm

The breadth of the rectangle = ?
We know that,

P = length + length + width + width
P = 2L + 2W
110 cm = 35 cm + 35 cm + b + b
110 cm = 70 cm + 2b
110 cm – 70 cm = 2b
2b = 40 cm
b = 40/2
b = 20cm
